How to care for your Paracord & BioThane Native Collars

Care instructions

Paracord Collars

Do's:

  • Hand wash with baking soda and Mild Detergent or Dishwashing Detergent and pat dry immediately
  • Wash your collar in the washing machine using a laundry bag, a gentle spin and pat dry immediately
  • Keep away from sharp objects. Paracord is like any other cord, if it is cut, it is irreparable
  • Please remove the collar after every water adventure and allow it to air dry before wear again
  • If you would like to deodorise your collar, place it in water with some baking soda. Once dry you can squeeze a drop of scented oil.

Don'ts:

  • Wash with hot water
  • Tumble dry
  • Use bleach on your collar
  • Keep collar wet for prolonged period of time

Burn Marks

Don't stress! The Burn Marks on the Inside of our Paracord Collars are completely normal and part of the design.

How to clean your tags

If the black colour of your tag faded over time, take a Sharpie and colour over the text. Let it dry for a few minutes and use a piece of steel wool to clean, wipe off the marker and polish your tag.
