Many dog collars and leads are made out of leather, and whilst one might think that leather is simply a byproduct of the the meat industry, that couldn't be further from the truth. Often cows and other animals are specifically raised for their leather only.
For many of us our dogs are more than just a pet, they are family and we want the absolute best for them. Leather Collars involve the life of an animal being exploited for their skin which causes unimaginable and needless suffering. This kind of suffering has no place in our modern world. In addition to that, toxic chemicals are utilised when tanning (the process of turning skin into leather) which are harmful for the workers and the environment.

BioThane collars very comfortable around your dog's neck and the leads are soft and makes holding them comfortable at all times. BioThane® is similar to leather but does not come with the high upkeep of a leather Collar.

Paracord Dog Collars
Paracord is strong and long lasting, hence why we decided to use in dog collars and leads.
Parachute cord (also paracord) is a lightweight nylon kern-mantled rope originally used in the military. The braided sheath is usually made up of 32 interwoven strands, giving it a smooth texture.
Our Paracord Dog Collars are hand made by us in Australia out of strong Parachute Cord and high quality hardware. All of our collars are water resistant and easy to clean after coming home muddy and dirty when your dog and his pal played a little harder.

Our Paracord Collars are made from vegan materials only - The river series comes with an adjustable BioThane® adapter. At Native Collars we braid our collars using high quality USA made 550 parachute cord as well as original BioThane®.
